In four days, my wife and I will find out the sex of our next baby. She’s excited and I find it nerve-racking because once we find out, that’s it. No more pretending it’s a boy or a girl, it’s a done deal. We’ve agreed that this will be the last child and we’re really hoping for a boy (I’m seriously the last male in my family). Don’t get me wrong, I will be happy and love the baby if it is a girl. We just really want a boy. Here are my top three pros and cons for having a boy or girl.
Boy- Pros
1. An heir to my fortune and fame, someone to carry on my family name.
2. Watching my wife freak out during his first “How about some pee in your face?” diaper changing.
3. I’ll have an excuse to buy the toys I like; I can say I am saving them for the boy.
Boy- Cons
1. I get the “How about some pee in your face?” treatment.
2. He grows up to be a huge football jock and kicks my ass.
3. Yeah, that’s it.
Girl- Pros
1. We already have a shitload of girls clothing, save money.
2. There will be a third set of boys trying to date my daughter that I can completely freak out and convince I am crazy.
3. I could convince my LA friends to come visit by showing them pictures of her hot friends.
Girl- Cons
1. I’ll have to pay for a third wedding.
2. Potentially living with four girls during that time of the month.
3. Spending all my extra cash on clothes and shoes that are worn once.
